Get your flu shot next week

It’s still not too late to get a flu shot.

Cougar Health Services will offer a walk-in flu clinic Jan. 11-15 at the Washington Building between 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The clinic is open to all WSU students, faculty, and staff along with the entire Pullman community.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, flu season peaks between December and February every year but activity can last into May. Public health authorities are strongly encouraging flu shots for every eligible person to protect vulnerable populations, conserve healthcare resources, reduce disease spread, and limit the chance of getting COVID-19 and flu simultaneously.

Flu shots are covered 100% by almost all insurance plans. Students who cannot attend this flu clinic can make an appointment to get a flu shot by calling 509-335-3575. Cougar Health Services is unable to provide a flu shot to anyone under the age of 18 who is not a WSU student, or anyone who is pregnant.
