Whitman County and WSU Emergency Management are co-sponsoring a free weather spotter training class on Monday, June 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The class will take place at the WSU Public Safety Building at 2201 East Grimes Way. The National Weather Service in Spokane is seeking volunteers who would like to become official Weather Spotters. Interested in severe weather or always wondered how to become a storm spotter? Come see how you can become the “eyes and ears” of the NWS and how to provide valuable weather reports. The training is free to the public and prior experience is not necessary.
The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
