Teacher education expert to speak at research forum

An expert in professional development for teachers will speak at a College of Education research forum on March 25.

Gretchen Givens Generett will present a free public lecture on “Transformative Education: Implications of Research for Teacher Education” at 4 p.m. in Smith CUE 202 at WSU Pullman. A reception will begin at 3:30 p.m.

The forum is sponsored by the Education Graduate Organization and will be of interest to educational researchers, teachers and teacher education majors.

Her recent publications include “Engaging Bell Hooks: How Teacher Educators Can Sustain Themselves and their Work,” a chapter in Critical Perspectives on bell hooks (2009) edited by Maria Davidson and George Yancy.
