WSU alumni invited to golf at Lewis River Aug. 4

VANCOUVER — Washington State University alumni and friends are invited to gather for an afternoon of golf and camaraderie Aug. 4 at the Lewis River Golf Course near Woodland for the inaugural Southwest Washington Cougar Open.

Presented by the WSU Alumni Association, the event is open to all alumni and friends of the university. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome.

Registration begins at 11 a.m., with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Advance reservations are recommended. Contact the WSU Alumni Association at 800-258-6978 to reserve a spot. The cost to enter is $75 for WSU Alumni Association members and WSU Vancouver students and $85 for others. The entry fee includes access to the driving range and putting green, a sack lunch, 18 holes of scramble golf, cart rental, dinner, raffle entry and more.

The Lewis River Golf Course is located at 3209 Lewis River Road, 5.5 miles east of I-5 from Exit 21 in Woodland.

WSU Vancouver is located at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., east of the 134th Street exit from either I-5 or I-205. WSU Vancouver offers 15 bachelor’s degrees and eight master’s degrees in more than 35 fields of study.
