Outdoor Recreation offers activities all week

PULLMAN — Whether you want to rock climb, backpack, paddle a canoe on the Snake River or learn to use a Navigation System, the Outdoor Recreation Center has something for you almost every day next week to keep you active and adventurous.

* Tuesday, July 12, the ORC will offer a free introductory Night Navigation lecture to teach the tricks and techniques to finding your campsite or anything else in the dark using the Global Positioning System (GPS).

* Wednesday, July 13, get outside and take the short trip to Granite Point to climb next to the Snake River as the sun goes down. The cost is just $8 for SRC members and $10 for non-members. Get there by 4 p.m. and don’t forget a water bottle.

* Thursday, July 14, hit the classroom to learn the basics of rock climbing before you go on Saturday to Post Falls to apply what you learned and climb!
The clinic and the climb are just $38 for SRC members and $45 for non-members. This price includes all instruction, equipment, and travel.

* Saturday, July 16, Paddle to the Illia Dunes to camp and relax before returning the next morning. This is a great opportunity to practice your paddling skills and enjoy nature. The cost of the trip is $25 for SRC members and $30 for non-members, which includes transportation, camping and canoeing gear.
