Celebration of Life & Remembrance for Our Animal Companions

Saturday, October 17, from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m.

Presented by the College of Veterinary Medicine

This community-wide event provides time to remember, grieve, and celebrate the difference that these companions make in our lives.

Scott Campbell is a veterinary chaplain and has been functioning in that capacity for WSU since 2021. He is passionate about providing a time and place for those who have lost a beloved animal companion.

Our event includes a Remembrance Garland Ceremony. We encourage you to arrive early (the doors open at 10:00) to prepare to honor your lost companion.

You are also welcome to join us for a social gathering after the ceremony where you are encouraged to share stories of your beloved animals. Refreshments will be provided by the American Association of Veterinary Chaplains (AAVChap).

This event is OPEN TO ANYONE who has lost an animal companion, either as part of their human family or as a part of a veterinary healthcare team.

WSU event that can be shared with others.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it.
