WSU looking for next faculty athletics representative

Applications are now being accepted for the part-time role of faculty athletics representative.

This position serves as the WSU president’s designated faculty representative responsible for ensuring the academic integrity of the athletics program, monitoring student-athlete eligibility and progress-toward-degree, and helping maintain institutional control in matters related to NCAA compliance. The representative acts as a faculty liaison on issues that affect the academic experience and welfare of student-athletes and provides independent advice to the president on the alignment of athletics practices with university academic standards and NCAA regulations.

It is a part-time, 12-month appointment, with 25% release team for the chosen faculty member to discharge their duties.
