Open Enrollment ends today

The 2026 Open Enrollment period ends today. Changes can be made in Workday through midnight tonight.

As a reminder, this is the one time each year that you can/must:

  • Change your medical, dental or vision plan
  • Add or remove eligible family members to your coverage
  • Enroll or re-enroll in a Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) or Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP)
  • Re-attest to the Spousal Surcharge if applicable

If you do not make any Open Enrollment changes, you will remain in your current plans. The one exception is for those enrolled in UMP Plus, who will be defaulted to the UMP Classic plan (since UMP Plus is no longer available next year).

When making your Open Enrollment elections in Workday, be sure to go to the final page of the process where you are asked to save/print a confirmation page. If you do not get to this page, you have not fully submitted your election, and it will not be processed.

The Open Enrollment web page provides information on benefit and premiums changes, a communication archive, recorded open enrollment and benefit presentations  and other important information you need to know.

Questions can be directed to HRS Benefits at 509-335-4589 or hrs.benefits@wsu.edu.
