Microsoft to retire legacy version of Outlook for Mac, Oct. 31

Effective Friday, Oct. 31, Microsoft is retiring the legacy interface of the Outlook desktop application for Mac devices. Microsoft will remove the option to view or return to the legacy interface of this Mac application version.

Microsoft will automatically transition users accessing Outlook via the desktop application on Mac devices to the new, supported interface of this application.

No impact is expected for WSU users already utilizing the new interface of the Outlook desktop application on their Mac devices.

WSU users accessing Outlook via a web browser or a Windows device will also not be impacted by this change.

Information Technology Services (ITS) encourages impacted users to proactively transition to the new interface as soon as possible to become familiar with the updated application layout and features.

For more information on transitioning to the new interface of the Outlook desktop application for Mac devices, please visit the ITS website or contact Crimson Service Desk at crimsonservicedesk@wsu.edu.
