SPRC June Sleep Seminar series — Dr. Charles Samuels

You are invited to attend the first of four talks in the Sleep and Performance Research Center’s June Sleep Seminar series.

Dr. Charles Samuels, MD, CCFP, DABSM, will present, “Fatigue Risk Management: Integration and Facilitation of Medical Management of Primary Sleep Disorders.” This talk will:

  • Review and describe the history of Fatigue Risk Management Educational Program Development and Facilitation of Care for Workers with Sleep Disorders.
  • Discuss cases exemplifying the process of case identification, diagnosis, treatment, return to work plan and monitoring progress.
  • Demonstrate the implementation of end-to-end programming that allows for the identification of works with sleep disorders and how they can be managed.

Dr. Charles Samuels is the Medical Director of the Centre for Sleep & Human Performance and The Sleep Institute in Calgary, Alberta, CA. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine and a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Dr. Samuels is a Clinical Asst. Professor of Medicine in the Cummings School of Medicine, Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology, and member of the Inst of Population Health at the University of Calgary.
