The Washington State University community is invited to nominate faculty, staff, and instructors, of any rank, for the Partners in Innovation: Community Engaged Learning Award. It is a new award established by the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) and the Office of the Provost to recognize individuals for their innovative community engaged learning practices that create transformative and high-impact opportunities for students and communities. The nomination deadline is Monday, April 7, and self-nominations are welcome.
All candidates must be or have been a partner with CCE and will be evaluated on mutually beneficial partnerships, integration of academic learning and civic engagement, critical reflection, and enhancing the student learning experience and student success.
Awards will be given in three categories:
- Teaching a UCORE class with a community learning component
- Teaching a class with a community engaged learning component from any discipline
- Leading a co-curricular project that includes a community engaged learning component
