The Common Reading Program will host a talk by dietician Martha Flores on “Healthy Eating Habits to Start Now” on Thursday, March 27, at 4:30 p.m., in CUE 202 on the Pullman campus. Flores, the Health and Wellness Coordinator for Dining Services as well as a personalized nutrition coach, will help attendees understand how to navigate the often confusing nutritional advice we confront in order to build healthier habits. She will be joined by Benefits Navigator Annalei Santos who will share information about accessing SNAP benefits. Light refreshments will be provided by Dining Services.
This talk is cohosted by the WSU Pullman Common Reading Program, Dining Services, and the Office of the Dean of Students as part of National Nutrition Month and highlights issues is this year’s WSU Common Reading, How the Other Half Eats: The Untold Story of Food and Inequality in America.
