WSU Pullman: Traffic revisions during demolition

The demolition of Kruegel Hall will occur Monday, Dec. 16, through Monday, Dec. 23. The contractor will work extended hours during that time period. It is anticipated that Kruegel Hall will be completely demolished by the end of the day on Monday, Dec. 23.

For safety reasons, during this time period the two northbound lanes of Stadium Way will be closed to vehicular traffic from the Nevada Street intersection to the Grimes Way intersection. Two-way traffic will be directed to the two southbound lanes. There will be flaggers posted at each end of the closed section who will provide access for service deliveries only.

After Monday, Dec. 23, demolition activities will pause for the remainder of that week and all lanes of Stadium Way will be opened up to traffic.

Starting Monday, Dec. 30, the demolition crew will return to remove any remaining concrete material that may still be on site. A single northbound lane of Stadium Way will be closed from the Nevada Street intersection to just beyond the worksite to allow for trucks hauling concrete to safely leave the site and head toward SR270. Flaggers will be present to help direct traffic as needed. This will continue through Friday, Jan. 3, 2025. By Saturday, Jan. 4, all lanes of Stadium Way should be fully open. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. If you should have any questions, please contact Cyndi Arbour, project manager, at carbour@wsu.edu, 509-335-7010.
