‘Revisiting Resident Physician Work Hours and Patient and Physician Safety’ — TMP Seminar, Nov. 12, at 12:10 p.m.

The Department of Translational Medicine and Physiology welcomes Dr. Laura Barger, assistant professor in medicine at Harvard Medical School to WSU Spokane on Tuesday, Nov. 12. She will be providing her seminar at 12:10 p.m., “Revisiting Resident Physician Work Hours and Patient and Physician Safety,” in SAC 347 and via Zoom.

Dr. Barger will discuss the history of the policies governing resident physician work hours, the impact of work hours on resident physician and patient safety and changes we have seen in work hours over the last two decades.

Dr. Laura Barger is assistant professor in medicine and also holds administrative titles of associate physiologist, Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders, Departments of Medicine and Neurology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
