Join the Common Reading Program when it hosts librarian Lorena O’English for a virtual, interactive workshop on how to access and use online government documents, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, via Zoom. Government documents provide many points of access to primary sources on an extensive array of topics, including food policy and food insecurity, yet most students are unfamiliar with this rich vein of research material. Instructors are invited to encourage students, at any level of study, to attend and learn about the government documents they have access to through our libraries.
O’English is the Social Sciences and Government Information Librarian for WSU Pullman, where she is a passionate advocate for increased awareness of the research sources and tools available online.
This workshop is one of the year-long series of being hosted this academic year to complement use of Priya Fielding-Singh’s book, How the Other Half Eats, as the Common Reading for WSU system-wide. More about the book and upcoming programs can be found at CommonReading.wsu.edu.
