WSU sign-in page accessibility upgrade

Information Technology Services (ITS) enabled a new Okta Sign-In Widget for user authentication and multi-factor authentication (MFA) enrollment on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Better Accessibility, Same Workflow

The new Okta Sign-In Widget maintains the current login experience for all WSU users, ensuring no changes to how users access the WSU Okta login page or complete authentication.

This widget offers improved accessibility for color contrast, focus management, and screen reader behavior without disrupting the login process for faculty, staff, and students.

To review the recent changes to the WSU login page, please visit the ITS website.

Support Documentation

ITS is updating various WSU Knowledge Base articles to reflect the new sign-in widget. Although login functionality will remain the same, ITS recommends any support documentation that technical, academic, or business areas may manage to be updated for consistency and reducing potential confusion.
