WSU’s birthday: Crimson and Gray Day celebration on March 28

The Washington State University Alumni Association (WSUAA) is celebrating the founding of the university by handing out free cake to students, faculty, and staff system-wide on March 28 as part of Crimson and Gray Day.

The event is historically held across all WSU campuses, including Pullman, Everett, Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver. Cake will be available at all physical campuses for two hours — or until the cake is gone. WSU Global will host a virtual Crimson and Gray Day contest!

Campus locations:

  • Pullman: Cake will be served 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Glenn Terrell Mall in front of Todd Hall steps.
  • Spokane: Cupcakes will be served 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. in the lobby of the Student Academic Center.
  • Tri-Cities: Cake will be served noon–2 p.m. in the Student Union Building.
  • Vancouver: Cake will be served 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. in VDEN gallery and from 3–4 p.m. on the Firstenberg Patio. Find more details about the event online.
  • Everett: Cake will be served noon–2 p.m. in the lobby on the first floor of the University Center.
  • Global: Share your “why” and participate in the Crimson and Gray Day contest.
