Week of Welcome, presented by BECU, is underway on the Pullman campus.
New and returning students to WSU’s residential campus can expect a full calendar of events during the weeklong festivities, which take place every year in advance of the Aug. 21 start of fall semester classes.

Signature events include:
- Student Employment Fair at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, on the Glenn Terrell Mall
- Pep Rally and New Coug Photo at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Martin Stadium.
- Convocation at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, in Beasley Coliseum.
- All Campus Picnic & Resource Fair at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, on the Glenn Terrell Mall.
Additionally, WSU is a major sponsor of the National Lentil Festival, set for downtown Pullman on Saturday, Aug. 19.
Other WSU campuses also are celebrating back to school as well:
- WSU Global has a full slate of online welcome activities this week.
- WSU Vancouver celebrates Week Zero beginning Friday, Aug. 18.
- WSU Spokane is hosting events on the first day of classes for the fall semester.
