Common Reading talk Tuesday with Udall Scholarship Awardee

The Common Reading Program will host a talk on Distinguished Scholarships, with special focus on the Udall Scholarship, on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 4:30 p.m. via Zoom. April Seehafer, Director of Distinguished Scholarships, and Emma Johnson, a recipient of the Udall Scholarship, will talk about the opportunities afforded through distinguished scholarships. The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to students involved in leadership and public service who demonstrate a commitment to issues related to Native American nations or to the environment. Johnson, a member of the Cowlitz Tribe, will speak about her experience as a scholarship awardee, a Udall Native American Congressional Intern, and about her work with tribal food sovereignty.
