While the WSU community is regularly offered workshops to assist those planning for retirement to navigate important financial and insurance decisions, we rarely have the opportunity to hear about the equally important decisions involved in preparing for and executing the transition away from university-based research, scholarship, service, and teaching. Come hear from four eminent emeritus AFW members at different points in their retirement who will share their experiences and advice about preparing for and transitioning into the next phase of professional and personal life. Panelists will be Fran McSweeney (Regents Professor Emerita of Psychology and Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs), Diane Gillespie (Professor Emerita in English, recipient of the 2019 Emeritus Society Legacy of Excellence Award), Sheila Kearney Sloan (Emerita Career Associate Professor in the School of Music, 2016 Woman of the Year), and Rebecca Craft (Professor Emerita in Psychology, 2010 Woman of the Year). Faculty at all stages in their professional careers are welcome!
