The WSU Carson College of Business ranks 10th overall in entrepreneurship research productivity, according to new rankings released by Texas Christian University.
Launched in 2009 by the Neeley School of Business, the TCU Global University Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings track research articles in entrepreneurship journals according to authorship and university affiliation. In 2019, WSU ranked 18th.
To develop the rankings, TCU counts all universities that published in the following three top entrepreneurship journals during the previous five-year period: the Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.
“The Carson College of Business is committed to furthering knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship, and this ranking reflects the important work of our faculty,” said Rob Crossler, chair of the Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship.
In addition to publication in top journals, WSU entrepreneurship research is often covered by business journals and news outlets in the Pacific Northwest and has appeared in national publications such as Money Inc. and U.S. New and World Report. WSU research insights guide critical thinking about business and help business and policy communities in the Pacific Northwest make informed decisions that benefit the public.
“Regular publications in the top entrepreneurship journals captured in this ranking provide an opportunity for WSU scholars to leave a lasting impact on the field,” Crossler said.
