Compliance and Risk Management launches new ethics training

Washington State University Compliance and Risk Management has put together a new ethics training that tackles everything from allowable activities to gift restrictions and exemptions.

The new online training can be accessed from the department’s website. It’s vital that all university employees participate in the training as a means of better understanding their responsibilities under Washington law, Sherry Gordon, WSU’s ethics advisor, said.

“WSU faculty and staff can do their part in ensuring public trust in our institution by understanding their responsibilities and obligations under state law,” Gordon said.

The online course takes approximately 25 minutes to complete, with a quiz at the end that employees must pass in order to be considered compliant.

Any WSU employee with questions about the training or their responsibilities under the law should reach out to Gordon by emailing ethics@wsu.edu.
