Brieann Satterfield, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. Her seminar entitled “Genetic and Neural Correlates of Cognitive Resilience to Sleep Loss” will be in person in the Spokane Academic Center, room 341 and through Zoom on Tuesday, April 26, 12:10–1 p.m.
As a PI in the Human Sleep and Cognition Laboratory of the Sleep and Performance Research Center, her research focuses on the mechanisms underlying phenotypic vulnerability to sleep loss using genetic and neuroimaging approaches. Additionally, she is funded to investigate the molecular fingerprint of circadian disruption in night shift workers.
Dr. Satterfield joined WSU’s human sleep lab in 2008 as an undergraduate research assistant from Gonzaga University. She stayed as a postbaccalaureate trainee and graduate research assistant, completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at WSU in 2017. She went on to complete a postdoc at the University of Arizona and returned to WSU in 2019 where she is now on the faculty in the Department of Translational Medicine and Physiology.
We look forward to you joining us in person (SAC 341) or through Zoom!
