Family Weekend food pantry drive

On behalf of the sisters of Alpha Nu Multicultural Sorority Inc. we welcome all families who are in town for Spring 2022 Family Weekend! We will be accepting donations for non-perishable food items; anything helps! The donation box is in Lighty Student Services and will also be open in the Cougar Food Pantry throughout the whole weekend.

Suggested donations include:

  • Breakfast goods (cereal, oatmeal, granola bars, self stable milk, jelly or jam and peanut butter)
  • Hearty soups and ramens (chicken, vegetable, vegetarian, etc.)
  • Pasta noodles and sauces (red and white sauce)
  • Hygiene products including soap, toothpaste, and deodorant

Donation boxes are available in the following locations:

  • Lighty Student Services Building, Suite 260
    • Friday, April 1, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Brelsford WSU Visitor Center
    • Friday, April 1, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
    • Saturday, April 2, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    • Sunday, April 3, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Cougar Food Pantry (CUB Ground Floor)
    • Friday, April 1, 7:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.
    • Saturday, April 2, 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.

This year, Dissmore’s IGA is also selling $10 donation bags in their store or on their website. The store manager has agreed to add a 10 percent of the food on top of whatever amount of donations the pantry receives from customers.
