Washington State University officials in the Office of Undergraduate Research have extended the application deadline to Jan. 28 for students seeking fellowships to support their research, scholarship, and creative activity efforts for 2022–23.
The deadline for faculty-mentor endorsements of their students’ applications also has been extended to Feb. 4.
“Giving our students and faculty one additional week to complete their submissions takes into account the delays and disruptions that impacted the start of this spring semester,” said Mary Sánchez Lanier, assistant vice provost.
The online applications for seven different types of awards opened Nov. 1, 2021. The awards total more than $50,000 in support for students’ efforts to engage in mentored research. Such activity is credited with providing high-impact, hands-on learning experiences that contribute to student success.
Students from all majors and campuses can apply to receive the undergraduate research awards.
