Washington State University leaders will welcome back students, faculty and staff during a Spring Semester 2022 Town Hall at 10 a.m. Thursday.
WSU President Kirk Schulz and Provost, Executive Vice President and WSU Pullman Chancellor Elizabeth Chilton will be joined by administrators to discuss the university’s plans for the upcoming semester and review existing COVID-19 guidelines. Questions from the community — which can be submitted ahead of time — will also be addressed during the town hall.
The event will be broadcast via the Experience WSU website.
Members of the WSU community should prepare for a semester of in-person classes and experiences across the university system beginning Jan. 10. University leaders remain confident that policies in place coupled with high rates of vaccination among students and employees reduce the risk of COVID-19 outbreaks within campus communities.
WSU continues to encourage all Cougs to seek out a COVID-19 booster as soon as they are eligible. The state of Washington’s Vaccine Locator tool can help residents find a vaccine or booster nearby. At this time, WSU is not requiring boosters, but is continuing to monitor data/recommendations from public health partners. Seasonal flu shots are also key to help reduce the spread of illness in the winter months ahead.
