Author Talk and Community Conversation — Join us for a virtual conversation with Matthew Sullivan on Tues., Nov. 2, at 12 p.m. and Thurs., Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. Registration is not required as Matthew’s talk will be streamed via Zoom and Facebook Live.
Adult Writing Workshop: Building Suspense (Nov. 5 at 1 p.m.) –This interactive workshop will focus on some of the ways that writers can use suspense to create more compelling fiction and intensify the reader’s experience, regardless of the genre in which we write.
Teen Writing Workshop: Here Comes Trouble: Conflict and Story Fundamentals (Nov. 3 at 4 p.m.) — While we typically want to avoid conflict in our daily lives, avoiding it on the page is a death sentence for our writing. Conflict can be a useful tool to help us to better understand the basic building blocks of a story and to raise the stakes in our writing.
