Industry Engagement Grant

The Innovation and Research Engagement Office (IREO) is bridging the gap between academia and industry.

IREO works with students, faculty and staff to position WSU’s creative, scholarly and technical assets in ways that maximize impact and return value to our state and national stakeholders.  As part of Research Week 2021, we are inviting submission of proposals that communicate an innovative product/idea and its potential impact in key industries.

Apply now for the Industry Engagement Grant Competition

Due: Thursday, September 30, 2021

Two teams or individuals will be awarded with a $3,000 grant and receive administrative support from IREO to initiate contact and develop strategic, industrial partnerships with desired companies. The funding will help supplement activities in CY 2021-22 to pursue sponsored research partnerships; funds MUST be used by the end of CY 2022. Funds may be applied to industry-engagement supporting activities such as travel to partner sites/industry visits, consulting time, student support, summer salary support, database access, software development, etc.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
