The WSU Distinguished Service Awards recognize those who promote human rights and social justice, and continue the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in an extraordinary way. Awards showcase efforts of altruism and community service, advancement of diversity, and education and inclusion.
This is also the inaugural year for the Bayard Rustin Excellence Award, recognizing advocates for LGBTQ+ communities of color and activism, and the Community, Equity, and Social Justice Inclusive Excellence Awards, recognizing exceptional leadership in fostering diversity and inclusion.
Nominations are due Tuesday, January 12, 2021, by 5 p.m. Completed nomination forms should cite specific efforts and accomplishments of the nominee.
