The Office of the Registrar and the Office of Veterans Affairs are hosting a veterans cultural competency training on Monday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. to help members of the Washington State University community gain a better understanding of service members who have transitioned out of the military.

In celebration of Veterans Day, WSU is partnering with the Washington Department of Veteran Affairs to host the event, “Military and Veteran Culture: Battlemind to Homemind,” via Zoom.

The training will shed light on the world that military veterans come from and offer a meaningful discussion about how an individual or organization can create an environment in which veterans can find their “second mission.”

This virtual training session will also introduce the WSU Office of Veterans Affairs Speaker Series, which will start in the 2021 spring semester.

Help us honor our Veteran Students, spouses and dependents who are part of our greater Cougar family by participating in this informational session.
