Rap artist Macklemore

Seattle rap artist Macklemore will headline Mom’s Weekend 2020 during a Beasley Coliseum concert Saturday, April 4.

This isn’t the artist’s first stop in Pullman. He’s previously performed live at CougFest, a back-to-school concert, in 2010, as well as a stop in February 2011 at the Compton Union Building.

According to the musician’s biography, in the past year, the Seattle rapper released two solo songs “Wednesday Morning” and “Drug Dealer,” performed on Ellen and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, was featured in an MTV special with President Obama about the opioid epidemic in America and was the first U.S. citizen ever to participate in the President’s Weekly Address.

Collectively, Macklemore’s music videos have been viewed over 2.7 billion times, and he is one of only two rappers to have a Diamond-certified single.
