What does success for the WSU system look like from 2020 to 2025?

Faculty, staff, and students systemwide are invited to answer that and similar questions on Monday, Oct. 28—the date of a systemwide visioning conference focused on the direction of the university’s statewide enterprise for the next 5 years.

To attend, register for the day‑long conference by Oct. 17.

All of the input gathered during the conference will be compiled and considered during the drafting of the first iteration of the WSU system strategic plan, which will be shared with the university community in January.

Conference participants are encouraged to attend all of the day’s sessions. They will participate in small‑ and large‑group conversations throughout the day that explore topics central to creating a strategic plan that advances the vision laid out in the University’s Drive to 25.

Among the topics to be discussed:

  • The ways in which the university should evolve to better serve the public good and the state’s future needs while fulfilling its land‑grant mission
  • The core WSU values that must be preserved
  • Short‑term goals that support the University’s future vision

A conference pre‑read document will be made available to conference registrants about 7 to 10 days prior to Oct. 28. The document will summarize information compiled the past several months that is relevant to planning the WSU system’s future.

For more information, see the conference website. Or contact Jennifer Cook, WSU Conference Management, 509‑335‑3530, or Christine Hoyt, Office of the President, 509‑335‑4200.
