Increased IRB review timeline

The Human Research Protection Program and the Institutional Review Board are processing and reviewing the high volume of projects submitted at this time. However, please note that the processing and review timelines are extended due to low staff numbers. Our current review timeline is 15-20 business days from initial submission.

Staff are still able to meet with researchers and students during our Friday open office hour at WSU Pullman, located in Neil 416 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Meeting with staff prior to submission – especially for students who have never submitted an application to our office – can reduce re-review times significantly.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as you submit your projects to Human Research Protection Program and the IRB for review.
