The President’s Commission on the Status of Women, Mentoring and Professional Development subcommittee has developed a Staff Mentoring and Professional Development Program. The first cohort is set to begin this fall. The program is designed to pair experienced Civil Service and Administrative Professional staff with other CS and AP staff interested in a one-on-one mentoring experience, who seek to grow and develop their professional skills. Mentoring sessions may include discussions and explorations of professional strengths and career development, or other agreed-upon professional growth areas between mentor and mentee. The program will run two cohort cycles per year, during the fall and spring semesters, and is open to all Pullman WSU AP and CS staff. Plans to expand this program to all campuses as well as during the summer are contingent upon successful completion of the first pilot program on the Pullman campus.
If you are interested in participating in the program as a mentee, the link to the application is open on our website now, https://president.wsu.edu/status-women/. The mentee application will close Friday, June 21. Questions or concerns may be directed to Anika VanDeen, anika.vandeen@wsu.edu, Mentoring and Professional Development subcommittee Chair.
