Faculty Status Committee announces new members

Five new members have been elected by the Washington State University faculty at large to the Faculty Status Committee. The committee hears appeals from faculty members, including those when reappointment, tenure and promotion are denied/deferred. It reports and makes recommendations to the WSU president.

The new members, who will serve three-year terms beginning Aug. 15, are: R. Dave Evans, School of Biological Sciences; Keri McCarthy, School of Music; and Mary Paine, Pharmaceutical Sciences. One new member will fill out a vacant two-year term: Vilma Navarrao-Daniels, School of Languages, Cultures, and Race. And one new member will complete a one-year vacant term, Jennifer Sherman, Department of Sociology.
