WSU Prosser IAREC Phone System Changes

CAHNRS and IT Services are working on converting the Research and Extension Centers to use the central WSU Telephone Service. Expansion of this service state-wide has necessitated changes to the dialing procedures.

As of Wednesday, October 24, WSU Pullman and other sites connected to the central WSU phone system will now need to dial the last 7 digits of a Prosser IAREC phone number, for example: 786-9285. The older method of dialing 6-1-XXX is no longer available, but the calls remain free.

The Prosser IAREC directory, including telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, is available at: https://iarec.wsu.edu/iarec-directory-by-dept/

Note that this new dialing procedure only applies to the phones on the Prosser IAREC main campus, as calls to Othello will continue to require 10-digit dialing.

Questions may be directed to Guy Reisenauer, 509-786-9282 or greisen@wsu.edu.
