Teams of student journalists from the Murrow College of Communication will be hitting the road this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12-13, to seek stories in 13 small towns in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Instead of arriving with assumptions or story ideas already in mind, students will get a surprise destination and start with ideas and recommendations from within the community. This event is the first part of a larger grant-funded project about community-guided rural reporting.
If you live in a rural area in the counties around Pullman, please consider sending us your ideas! The project website includes additional information and a form for submitting any ideas or news tips: https://rural.murrowbpj.com
