Today: Indigenous Celebration at Hillside Café

ASWSU Ku-Ah-Mah, in collaboration with Dining Services, will hold an Indigenous Celebration at Hillside Café today from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please join us for this special opportunity to celebrate the food and culture of various Native American traditions.

During the event, Hillside will serve a special lunch menu featuring a variety of Native American dishes. In addition, the event will include two performances:

12:15 p.m. – Shana Lombard, Cowlitz Indian Tribe Gathering Song & Love Song

1:15 p.m. – Harald Hyllseth, Southeast Alaskan Tsimshian Tribe

Ku-Ah-Mah, which means ‘cougar’ in the Nez Perce language, is WSU’s Native American student group. The organization supports many events that promote cross-cultural awareness and understanding.

WSU Pullman is located on the ancestral homelands of the Palus people and the ceded lands of the Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) Tribe.
