Effective Research Communication. Your research matters deeply to you! It matters to others, too, but only if effectively communicated. This brief workshop will introduce tips and techniques for communicating complex research ideas. We will focus on crafting a clear, compelling message, and developing a short presentation suitable for multiple audiences, including collaborators and funding agencies. We will also touch on graphic design and visual aid development.
About the presenter: Dr. Allison Coffin is an associate professor of neuroscience at WSU Vancouver and the co-founder and president of Science Talk, a science communication organization. She has 15 years of experience leading communication workshops throughout North America.
