Vancouver researcher lands distinguished NIH award

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Postdoctoral research fellow Jordan Blacktop is the first WSU Vancouver researcher to receive a prestigious Pathway to Independence award from the National Institutes of Health.

Blacktop, Ph.D., has been awarded $105,585 for his project “Role of Lateral Hypothalmic Area Perineuronal Nets in the Reinstatement of Cocaine-Seeking Behavior.”

The purpose of this NIH program is to increase and maintain a strong cohort of new and talented, NIH-supported, independent investigators.
