This session is part of the Department Chairs and Directors Training Workshop series. It provides an overview of Washington State University’s structure and academic policies. It also addresses faculty recruitment, mentoring and retention efforts at WSU. Specific topics include:

• The Faculty Senate

• The Strategic Plan

• The Academic Plan

• The Faculty Manual

• Acquiring a mentor

• The recruitment process

• The partner accommodation policy

• Professional leave

• The retirement policy

This training session is designed as an interactive workshop. Time will be allowed for your questions and comments.

The training takes place on Wednesday, September 5, from 1:30 – 3 p.m.
