PULLMAN, Wash. – Four new members have been elected by the Washington State University faculty at large to the Faculty Status Committee.
Three members will serve three-year terms. One will serve a two-year term to replace Mel Haberman, College of Nursing, who has been promoted to an administrative position.
The committee hears appeals from faculty members, including those when reappointment, tenure and promotion are denied/deferred. It reports and makes recommendations to the WSU president.
New members who will serve three-year terms beginning Aug. 15 are: Elizabeth Soliday, Department of Human Development; T. Randy Fortenbery, School of Economic Sciences; and Babu John-Mariadoss, Department of Marketing & International Business. Ahmed Tibary, Veterinary Clinical Sciences, will serve a two-year term.
