March Training & Certification Opportunities with UREC

Did you know University Recreation offers over 75 training and certification courses per year? During the Month of March, expand your horizons and become certified in first aid, lifeguarding, intramural officiating, or even prepare to be a fitness instructor through UREC FIT! Below is a list of upcoming Training and Certification programs through UREC:

  • Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Clinic – 3/11
    • 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in SRC 144
    • Registration ends 3/10 and costs $53(members)/$61(nonmembers)

 

  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course – 3/13-3/15
    • 3/13 from 5-10 p.m. in Gibb Pool
    • 3/14 & 3/15 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in Gibb Pool
    • Registration ends 3/9 and costs $190 (m)/$205(nm)

 

  • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course – 3/27-4/5
    • Smith Gym Pool
    • Registration ends 3/23 and costs $200(m)/$235(nm)

 

  • First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course – 3/8
    • 9 a.m.-6 p.m. in SRC 144
    • Registration ends 3/5 and costs $135(m)/$160(nm)

 

  • IM New Officials Informational Meetings – 3/3 or 3/4
    • 3/3 at 6 p.m. in PEB 136
    • 3/4 at 6 p.m. in PEB 136
    • Mandatory event for new officials

 

  • IM Soccer Officials Training – 3/10 or 3/11
    • 3/17 from 6-9 p.m. in Smith 111
    • 3/18 from 6-9 p.m. in Smith 111

 

  • IM Softball Officials Training – 3/9 or 3/10
    • 3/9 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in SRC Classroom
    • 3/10 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in SRC Backyard Building

 

  • UREC FIT – 3/26-5/3
    • Sundays & Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m. in SRC 144
    • Registration ends 4/1 and costs $63
