This notice is for any cardholders with a CTA or Travel Charge card.
JP Morgan has started issuing replacement chip cards, a process that will take place between now and September. For cards with an expiration date falling between 5/2017 and 9/2017, the Controller’s Office will receive your new chip card during its regularly scheduled replacement and reach out to you at the time. All other replacement chip cards have been received by the Controller’s Office and will be processed as quickly as possible.
A couple items to note:
- Your replacement card will have a new expiration date and CSV code (the three-digit code on the back). If your card is on file with any merchants (i.e. Global Travel, EasyBiz), you will need to update the information with them in order to avoid issues with declined charges.
- Your magnetic stripe card will become inactivated within 45 days after the issuance of your replacement chip card.
- If unsure of how to activate the chip card, please be sure to follow the instructions outlined in your new replacement card materials.
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you,
Aly Kincaid
