Science of Learning Symposium: The Integration of Basic and Clinical Science

Drs. Nicole Wood and Maria Myolopoulos, educational leaders and medical education scholars at the University of Toronto’s Wilson Centre and Faculty of Medicine will present a series of seminars and interactive workshops on March 21 -22.

Dr. Wood’s work examines the role of biomedical knowledge in clinical reasoning and the value of basic science training in the development of medical expertise. Dr. Myolopoulos research program explores the development and maintenance of expertise, with a particular focus on how health professionals deal with uncertainty, novelty and complexity in their daily clinical problem solving.

The symposium is sponsored by the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Academy, in collaboration with WSU AOI and the ESF College of Medicine.
