Diabetes Prevention Program enrolling participants for September classes

86 MILLION Americans are at-risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes.  Has your doctor told you that you are pre-diabetic or at-risk of developing diabetes?  Pre-diabetes can be reversed simply by making healthy changes to your lifestyle!  WSU Whitman County Extension is currently accepting enrollees for the Diabetes Prevention Program.  This program offers one year of group health coaching sessions designed to help you lose weight, get active, and reduce your risk of diabetes.  Scholarship monies are available for qualified applicants.  For more information about the program or to begin the application process contact WSU Whitman County Extension, 509.397.6290 or Kelly Stewart, Kelly.Stewart@co.whitman.wa.us.  These will be our last classes for the 2017 year.  Call today!
