Former Washington State University academic coordinator and retention counselor Amy Sharp is returning Sept. 5 to the Pullman campus as the new director of the Women’s Resource Center.
Sharp comes to WSU after serving as the student life manager in Enrollment and Student Services at the College of Western Idaho in Nampa. There she has spent four years leading initiatives in areas of student government, student conduct, first-year experience and Title IX.
Prior to working at the College of Western Idaho, she served three years as academic coordinator in WSU’s College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences and two years as a retention counselor in Student Support Services.
Her experience also includes a two-year stint as program advisor in the Women’s Center at the University of Idaho, 2007-2009.
Brian Shuffield, director of Student Involvement, says Sharp will bring to her new position strong skills in collaboration and student advocacy.
