University Communications Mailing Services Tip of the Week

When placing USPS tracking numbers (certified, registered, insured etc.) on mail pieces, leave 4 inches of clear space in the top right hand corner for the postage to be affixed. Return receipts should be placed on the back of letter sized mail pieces or to the left of the recipients address on a flat or parcel. Always have a return address and a recipient address on the mail piece itself.

For more information contact University Communications at 335-2365, email joyr@wsu.edu, srigby@wsu.edu or visit ucomm.wsu.edu/mailing.
