The Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials shipping coordinators at the Office of Research Assurances would like to remind WSU shippers that we recommend 5-10 lbs. of dry ice for every day that your shipment will be in transport. Recent shipments have been delayed at the hubs of UPS and FedEx due to weather, mechanical failure, and other unforeseen events. These delays have caused precious samples and experiment data to be lost due to the insufficient quantities of dry ice. When a shipment is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances there is nothing WSU can do. So please remember if your shipment contains important samples or data, add additional dry ice for those unforeseen events. Please contact the Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Material shippers at (509) 432-3869 if you have any questions.
The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
