Take a trip with the ORC

Spice up your summer by going on an outdoor adventure with University Recreation. During June the Outdoor Recreation Center will be leading several trips across the region. They range from educational day clinics, to multi-day kayak excursions in the North Cascades.

  1. Eco Adventure: Palouse Falls Hike and Clean-Up

Spend June 3 learning and cleaning up one of the most scenic waterfalls in the northwest. Participants will start their eco adventure by restoring the trails and facilities at Palouse Falls. The rest of the day will be spent hiking while discussing the natural history of the area.

  1. Morning Paddle and Yoga

Start your day off right atop the beautiful Snake River June 11. Participants will spend their morning paddling on the river before taking a break on the Beach to do some guided yoga.

  1. Lake Couer d’Alene Bike and Camp

Bike alongside Lake Couer d’Alene and the Union Pacific Railroad on this picturesque two-day ride. The trail will take you to the Montana Border after traveling an average of 35 miles per day. You’ll learn the basics of bike touring and camping along the way, without having to carry your own gear.

  1. North Cascades Kayak Tour

Take a breathtaking kayak expedition on Ross and Diablo Lakes. This unique ecosystem will give you the opportunity to see plants and animals that occur in few other locations. You’ll also have the opportunity to traverse the area on foot for a day hike. This trip will last from June 29 through July 4.
